At the age of 18, Jeremy Harris was injured in an industrial accident. Several thousand pounds of steel fell on top of him, crossing over his left foot leading him to amputation just five inches below his knee. As a highly active young man, Jeremy thought life would never be the same. Looking for different types of feet to enable him to do the activities he loved was critical to saving his livelihood. When Jeremy was fitted finally with the Renegade, he realized life could go on. The quick response and vertical shock motion allowed him to resume playing basketball, running, racing all-terrain vehicles and motorcycles and most importantly- walking. He found that the design of the Renegade had taken the weight off completely.
"It was lighter than most feet on the market and overall just an awesome foot," he comments. Prior to being fit in the Renegade, Jeremy was in dire need to find a prosthetist and facility. When Jeremy and his mother finally met with Superior Prosthetics and Orthotics in Nashville, Tennessee he felt he had struck gold! After meeting with the owner, Jeremy was asked if he'd be interested in going into the field of prosthetics. Initially, he wasn't interested. But after getting such a remarkable fit in his prosthesis Jeremy wanted to reach out and help others. Joining the team of well-rounded young practitioners seven years ago, he is proud of his work as a prosthetist today. He continually works to improve his patients' prosthetic outcomes and increase their daily activities, making Jeremy a true asset to the prosthetic world.
