Collections and Accounting Administrator

SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position within Freedom’s finance department will have the responsibility to oversee the customer loaner product program. Freedom lends products to customers while their product is being serviced or repaired. This person will track the pool of loaner products, ship loaner products to customers, work directly with customer to have the loaner product returned to Freedom, and report the status of the pool of loaner products to appropriate personnel with in Freedom (Sales, customer service, manufacturing, management).

In addition, this person will back up the Customer Returns Administrator in processing credits and cash applications.

Engineering Technician

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Engineering Technician is responsible for assembly, testing and troubleshooting of subcomponents for Freedom Innovations products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists R & D engineers in developing, building, and testing prototypes for new products, processes, or procedures.
• Responsible for preparing and assembling materials.
• Responsible for testing products or subassemblies for functionality or quality.
• Troubleshoots problems with equipment, devices or products.
• Sets up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
• Performs specific skills that are needed to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Must be capable of using measuring equipment as well as different types of bonding adhesives.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Working closely with the entire Freedom Innovations engineering team, he/she will be responsible for the mechanical engineering of new product development, existing product improvements, and existing product support of various lower limb prosthetic feet and/or ankle devices.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that new products are released on schedule with robust designs and acceptance testing methodologies that achieve cost objectives.
  • Performs stress tests, analyzes data, and prepares reports.
  • Prepares preliminary and detailed design drawings and design specifications.
  • Directs work of designers and technicians as required.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Director of Quality and Regulatory is responsible for leading all aspects of the Quality Management System and ensuring compliance with all relevant and applicable regulatory requirements for Freedom Innovations’ products, processes, and systems.  These responsibilities also include serving as the Freedom Innovations management representative during governmental, customer, or third party reviewer audits.  Critical thinking and strong analytical skills used in reporting are essential.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and lead initiatives to improve the quality of products, processes, and procedures.
  • Manage the Quality team members in Irvine and Gunnison.
  • Ensure applicable regulatory compliance with all governmental and notified bodies, including FDA and EU registrations.
  • Ensure ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 compliance and registration.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and prepare and disseminate appropriate quality and regulatory reports to senior leadership.
  • Develop, implement, and improve Total Quality Management processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering functions to ensure the successful integration of quality assurance into the product development process.
  • Assist in first article validation of production methods.
  • Create, maintain, release, control and manage quality, ISO, and regulatory procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience

  • The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree (a degree in engineering is preferred) and at least 8 years of experience implementing and improving quality management systems
  • Experience in leading and directing regulatory functions including working with worldwide regulatory agencies
  • ISO 9001 familiarity (preferably ISO 13485)

Quality Engineer

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Quality Engineer will provide Quality Engineering support for the product development teams, manufacturing operations, and complaints processing at the Irvine, CA site.  This person will serve as a member of product development teams for Irvine-based projects.  The Quality Engineer will also investigate product non-conformances, implement manufacturing process improvements, and develop validation strategies and testing guidance for changes that improve quality, cost, and supply of product.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Operations Management, Manufacturing, and R&D Engineering organizations to integrate new/improved products or processes into the existing manufacturing site.
  • Co-write and/or review test protocols for the validation of new/changed equipment, processes, and test methods.
  • Lead, train, and participate in root cause investigations of non-conformances for product and processes in the Irvine, CA facility.
  • Plan and implement projects to reduce manufacturing costs, improve processes, increase product quality and reliability and enhance process capability.
  • Serve as a member of Product Development Teams for Irvine-based projects.
  • Help drive the tools of quality into the manufacturing processes.
  • Help guide the creation of KPI’s for quality and manufacturing processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience

  • Previous experience programming for CMM machines (esp. PC-DMIS)

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Coordinator for Commercial Programs is a critical member of the Global Commercial Team, helping lead key commercial programs and initiatives worldwide.  Programs include, but are not limited to, the following: overall digital marketing/media strategy and execution, develop and implement advertising campaigns; maintaining promotional and marketing material inventory, planning trade shows, patient advocate relations, new product launch planning, training (internal & customer-based), sales promotions, gratis product management, and general administration.
