Amputee, and Prosthetist Jeremy Burleson
Joins Freedom Innovations

CORONA, Calif. (August 05, 2003) - Freedom Innovations, an advanced prosthetics manufacturer, announces today that Jeremy Burleson, a world-class track and field athlete, will serve as an amputee advocate and company spokesperson for the company's line of prosthetic feet.

Burleson, 26, started wearing the new Renegade prosthetic foot from Freedom Innovations three months ago and says, "this is the best carbon fiber foot I have ever tried." Burleson lost his leg during a Marine Corps training accident in 1995. However, that did not prevent him from taking the gold medal in the Pentathlon at the 2001 International Challenge at Chula Vista Olympic Training Center. Currently, Burleson is training for the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens Greece, where he plans to throw the discus.

Burleson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He was co-valedictorian in his class in prosthetic school at California State University, Dominguez Hills. He is currently two months into a 12-month residency. He resides in St. Joseph, Missouri.

One of Burleson's first projects with Freedom Innovations was being featured on a poster promoting the new Renegade foot. The poster features a photograph of the muscular and agile Burleson running on the beach at sunset, creating an inspirational image for amputees.

According to Richard Myers, President and Chief Operating Officer of Freedom Innovations, Burleson's endorsement demonstrates how the company is achieving its vision.

"We are happy to have Jeremy wearing Freedom feet and representing our line," Myers said. "For a young, competitive athlete to so strongly endorse the Renegade, ensures that we continue to meet the needs of a very broad range of amputees with our products - from the moderate activity amputee, to the extremely high activity amputee like Jeremy. Our vision to create a revolution in motion continues to become a reality."
