The Silhouette™ component is a highly responsive energy storage and return device, manufactured using specially engineered carbon fiber lay-ups. The design features a dynamic posterior attached heel and compliant toe, enabling smooth roll-over and natural gait. Tri-durometer urethane strips allow the amputee to achieve a natural lateral to medial rollover and assists in maneuvering uneven terrain comfortably.
“The Silhouette’s unique design incorporates a narrow forefoot and bio-kinetically engineered floating soleplate that allows for effortless multi-axial rotation during stance phase. The Silhouette’s advanced dual heel system provides dynamic response for normal ambulation and an override spring for security during higher activity. Attachment of the heel to the posterior aspect of the module allows amputees to reach mid-stance and achieve an easy and natural roll-over.
The new design incorporates a titanium male pyramid adapter ensuring an easy and secure socket attachment. Nine stiffness categories are tailored to individual patient weight and activity level.
