Irvine , Calif. (April 10, 2006) –- Freedom Innovations announced today the market release of the Pacifica™ LP Prosthetic Foot, a newest addition to the company’s Freedom Series™ line of products. The Pacifica LP foot offers the same great features as the original Freedom Series FS 2000 prosthetic foot, in a lower profile design. With less than 2” of clearance required, clinicians are free to add virtually all other desired components to the prosthesis. Additionally, the split toe carbon fiber design is ideal for K3/4 level amputees with long residual limbs seeking a dynamic energy-returning foot that is lightweight and durable.
“The Pacifica LP provides a very flexible, yet durable prosthetic solution in a desirable low profile design.” stated Kurt Collier, C.P. and Freedom Innovations Director of Clinical Services. “The FS 2000 prosthetic foot has long been a proven performer within our product line. And the introduction of the Pacifica LP enhances the scope of amputees that are able to utilize that advanced technology.”
The original FS 2000, renamed the Pacifica Prosthetic Foot, will continue to be available, allowing prosthetists to choose which design they prefer and to order replacement products. However, it is anticipated that many clinicians will opt for the lower profile design moving forward.
Product customization of the Pacifica LP is achieved by way of nine stiffness categories, which are tailored to individual patient weight and activity level. The component is rated up to 365 pounds and is available in sizes 22-30 cm. Freedom Innovations offers a 60-day No Risk Trial Period and a 36-month warranty on the Pacifica LP™ Prosthetic Foot.
