Quality Material Inspection Supervisor

SUMMARY OF POSITION

 

The purpose of this position is to plan, schedule, review, supervise and coordinate inspection activities. Under general supervision, performs a full range of technical inspection work involving development driven projects, production-built plan support, and inspection equipment qualification. Drive tasks to ensure compliance with plans, codes, and specifications; ensures compliance with Freedom standards and specifications; and performs related work as required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts constructability reviews of plans and specifications; points out problems or issues with plans or specifications that could result in delays or costs.
  • Supervises staff by coordinating training, conducting performance reviews, establishing achievable goals and monitoring employee’s progress, and maintaining personnel records. Ensures policy and procedure compliance, recommending changes and adjustments.
  • Assigns work areas to inspectors. Routinely monitors inspector workloads to adjust inspector assignments as needed to ensure production or engineering-built coverage. Ensures that inspections are performed in accordance with approved plans and engineering requirements. Ensures that effective coordination is performed among the inspectors, planning and manufacturing. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless operation.
  • Trains inspectors; reviews and assesses needs; schedules on-the-job activities; evaluates progress; decides which training is needed, depending upon each inspector’s strengths and limitations.
  • Resolves issues; meets with engineers and supplier chain; reviews problems; assesses possible solutions; monitors and reviews final product; acknowledges multiple solutions to each problem and finding common ground acceptable to all while meeting specifications.
  • Prepares inspection reports by obtaining, compiling, and documenting statistical information from inspectors. Prepares notifications of acceptance of inspection. Ensures that supplier performances are monitored, and work with SQE to work with suppliers to provide parts in a timely manner.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience

Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with a two-year associate degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school. Appropriate certification from a professional institution is acceptable.

3 years and plus experiences as a medical device supervisor is desired.

Product Manager, Downstream Marketing

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Product Manager, Downstream Marketing is responsible for managing the in-line product portfolio for Freedom Innovations (Knees, Ankles, Feet) on a worldwide basis. This individual will work closely with the three global regions (US, EMEA, APAC) to develop product strategies, campaigns and promotions that will help drive revenue worldwide. They will be responsible for overall in-line product marketing strategy, including positioning, messaging, pricing, digital marketing, market research (when needed), revenue analysis and planning, sales force alignment, and distribution/partnership marketing.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the comprehensive in-line product portfolio for Freedom Innovations (Knees, Ankles, Feet) on a worldwide basis
• Monitor and analyze market & revenue trends to capitalize on product marketing opportunities, and develop and implement appropriate marketing plans to address each
• Manage all marketing communication activity for the portfolio, including: sales brochures, mailers, websites, apps, product catalog, packaging, etc.
• Manage global product forecasts for in-line portfolio;
• Develop and drive messaging/positioning, pricing, and sales channel strategy.
• Maintain ongoing competitive and market analysis, conducting market research (quantitative and qualitative)
• Create and implement sales promotions by working closely with the sales, marketing and clinical services teams
• Develop and manage expense budget for area of responsibility.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree with technical, marketing, communications or business emphasis
• 4-6 years of product management experience in the medical device or similar technical field
• MBA, or similar graduate degree, preferred
• Demonstrated experience in managing a significant product, product line, or program
• Demonstrated success defining and launching new programs and/or products
• Elite communication skills
• Experience working with a Direct Sales Force
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office, particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
